Construction to begin on riverfront project - 2003-05-31
Construction begins Monday on Shreveport's long-awaited RiverView project.

RiverView, a city project first approved in 1999, is financed by the Red River Waterway Commission. Architects Morgan Hill Sutton & Mitchell designed the project. The contractor is McInnis Bros. Construction. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will stabilize the riverbank in the stretch of land from Hollywood Casino south to the grassy area opposite Sci-Port Discovery Center.
