Casino To Expand With Additional 200 Machines - 2004-01-10
The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is commencing a $25 million development of its Black Bear Casino and Hotel in Carlton.

Plans call for doubling the hotel space, construction of an 800-plus seat auditorium, addition of a buffet-style restaurant and more casino gambling space.

"We're running out of room," reservation executive director Jean Mulder said. "Our hotel is always full, and with the addition of the golf course, we just don't have enough room."

Minister for Tourism visits Dragonara Casino - 2004-01-10
The Minister for Tourism, Dr. Francis Zammit Dimech yesterday went to take a look at the Dragonara Casino, where he was greeted by Pierre Zammit and Peter Borg Olivier, who represented the management of the Dragonara Casiṇ.

Dr Zammit Dimech, who was visiting the Casiṇ for the first time since his appointment as minister for tourism, commented positively about the number of local and foreign visitors in attendance during the evening of his visit.
