NZ's Sky City/Darwin Casino: Undertaking Due Diligence - 2004-01-15
New Zealand casino operator Sky City Entertainment Group Ltd. (A.SKY) Thursday confirmed rumors that it's negotiating to purchase Australian-based MGM Grand Darwin casino.

"The company confirms that it is undertaking due diligence of the Darwin business and is in the process of negotiating terms for a potential acquisition," Sky City said in a statement to the stock exchange.

Thursday night up-and-coming Ishe "Sugar Shay" Smith of Las Vegas will take on former champ Randall Bailey in a welterweight fight broadcasted nationally by Showtime.

Smith, 13-0 with seven KO's, is from Las Vegas. He won three fights in 2003 and his promotional team is building him up, and getting him TV time, as a prospective star.
