New offer for 7.7pc of casino shares - 2004-01-15
A disgruntled minor shareholder in Christchurch Casino says he got a new offer for his 7.7 per cent stake from an unnamed bidder.

Louis Crimp would not reveal the interested party, but said it was not another shareholder or a group of would-be investors led by millionaire hotelier Earl Hagaman.

Crimp has previously said his shareholding - which he estimated in December to be worth roughly $20 million - is up for grabs.

Jethro Challenged Over Northern Nevada Hillbillies Casino - 2004-01-15
Attorneys for J.C. Penney Co. have challenged plans by Max Baer Jr. to open his proposed $54 million Beverly Hillbillies Mansion & Casino in a shopping center he shares with the company and another owner.

In a response to Baer's Carson City District Court petition that claims a legal right to develop the property, the attorneys said limitations were imposed on its use when a Wal-Mart store was situated there.
