Blackjack event a new offering at Mohegan Sun - 2004-01-17
Every gambling facility in Connecticut is always seeking something new and exciting to offer its patrons to gain exposure and increase attendance. One state casino will offer a new event that will soon find itself in the national limelight.

The Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville and the Foxwoods Resorts Casino in Ledyard have held numerous playing card tournaments over the years. But for the first time in Connecticut there will be a black jack tournament. The Mohegan Sun will play host to the World Series of Black Jack tournament in its Wolf Den entertainment area on Jan. 24-25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Gambling Cruise Hunts Dock In Quincy - 2004-01-17
A fast-expanding North Shore gambling boat operator wants to make Quincy its next port of call.

Horizon's Edge Casino Cruises LLC, which has run a gambling boat out of Lynn and has not long ago launched a second floating casino out of Gloucester,
is ''prospecting'' for a dock in Quincy.

The company, built by a group of North Shore businessmen, says it is interested in a few potential Quincy berthing sites, including the defunct Fore River shipyard.

David Zion, the company's chief executive, recently met with state Sen. Michael Morrissey, who
has floated several statewide gaming law reforms.
