18 Towns Join To Seek Casino License - 2004-01-21
Country Club Hills along with 17 other communities announced a partnership Friday to bid on the state's last gaming license in hopes of building a casino in the south suburbs.

The proposal includes a revenue-sharing agreement that would split 85 percent of local casino revenue between the 17 towns and 32 school districts, said Anthony Bass, an attorney representing the coalition. Country Club Hills would keep 15 percent of the local share.

Casinos' winnings up 9.2% - 2004-01-21
Indiana's more lenient gambling laws proved rewarding for Greater Cincinnati's three riverboat casinos in 2003 as each recorded significant revenue gains over the previous year.

The Southeastern Indiana casinos parlayed the Hoosier State's blessing of round-the-clock gambling last year into a 9.2 percent surge in gross revenue over 2002, according to figures released Tuesday by the Indiana Gaming Commission.
