Peoria Tribe To Open New Casino - 2004-01-21
A rural Miami tribal gaming complex that has been in the planning stages since March will open its doors to the public.

The process started last year after the general council of the Peoria Tribe voted to seek legal and financial documents to start the casino.

The casino is currently located in a 4,500 square-foot temporary facility at 8520 S. Highway 69-A. The tribe plans to break ground on a $6 million, 42,000 square-foot casino with a 1,500-seat entertainment complex at the same location around the beginning of February, general manager Steve Bashore said.

Ho's New Casino To Open - 2004-01-21
Veteran gaming mogul Stanley Ho Hung-sun will open his 12th casino in Macau on Wednesday, overlapping with Chinese New Year's Eve that marks the start of Macau's annual gambling cycle.

According to a statement published by the 82-year magnate's gaming company, Sociedade de Jogos de Macau/SJM (Macau Gaming Company), the MJC Casino at the Grandview Hotel on Taipa Island will open its 13 gaming tables at 11 pm on Chinese New Year's Eve.
