its bid for a casino license, according to Mayor Dwight Welch. Already, the development of an indoor/outdoor water park and hotel complex is contingent on the city getting the license.

Eric Lund, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Great Wolf Lodge said if Country Club Hills receives the bid for the 10th riverboat gaming license from the Illinois Gaming Board, the lodge is prepared to "work with" the city for a "tremendous Wolf Lodge" next to the casino on the tract of land that stretches from Crawford to Cicero avenues and from 175th to 167th streets.

Chairman: Gulf Coast ready for new casino - 2004-01-22

State tax records show $14.3 million gaming tax revenue was received in December compared to $13.8 million in December 2002.
