Stopper Put On Pokie Numbers In Wairarapa Region - 2004-01-23
The proliferation of poker machines in Wairarapa, in New Zealand, has been stopped in its tracks with a draft gambling policy agreed on by all three district councils.

Although the draft has yet to go to public consultation and then back to the councils for adoption by March 19, it calls for no increase whatsoever in the number of machines or of venues licensed to have them.

Coast Casinos to Go 100 Percent IGT at New Southcoast Property - 2004-01-23
Coast Casinos, Inc. has signed an agreement to purchase 100 percent of its gaming machines for its new Southcoast Resort, set to open in late 2005, from IGT, an affiliated company of International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT).

The new Southcoast casino will feature roughly 2,500 Game King(TM) video poker machines, S2000(TM) slots, Game King(TM) video slots, Reel Touch(TM) Slots and S2000 Bonus Reel(TM) Slots featuring IGT's vast library of popular game themes. Plans also call for a full selection of the latest IGT MegaJackpots(TM) games, such as the popular Wheel of Fortune(R) and Megabucks(R) slots.
