Agreement Reached on Red Rock Casino Tower - 2004-01-08
Station Casinos has been working with residents for weeks in an effort to decide on an agreeable height limit for their Red Rock Station hotel tower. There is a rumor that an agreement has been reached between Station Casino and the coalition working to protect the Summerlin area and Red Rock Canyon. A proposal is scheduled to go before county commissioners Wednesday.

The agreement is a 198-foot tower. Originally Station Casinos wanted a tower that was 300 feet and residents wanted it no higher than 100 feet. There is also a compromise on the number of rooms from 1,500 to 1,000. There will also be just one tower, instead of three, which means there will be no time-share towers.
