Casino cuts come during campaign - 2004-02-11
After 10 days as a security guard at Ho-Chunk Casino in Lake Delton, Lon Jury was fired Friday, in addition to 56 other Ho-Chunk employees.

The layoffs come as the Ho-Chunk Nation is expected to spend more than $1 million to win votes in Tuesday's referendum to expand gambling at Madison's DeJope Bingo Hall.

"It's a really lousy way to cut money," Jury said.
