Lynch Proposes New Gaming Control Board - 2004-02-11
With gambling turning into an ever-developing enterprise in Rhode Island, and with the prospect of a Foxwoods-style resort casino in the near future, Attorney General Patrick Lynch wants to tighten up the way the state regulates the gaming industry.
Lynch unveiled legislation on Monday that would create a five-member state Gaming Control Commission to license, regulate and enforce the laws and rules concerning casino gambling.
