Ready to Rock the Coast' - 2004-02-11
Despite a bit of rain, Biloxi was rocking Tuesday morning during the groundbreaking ceremony for the future Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi.

'We are ready to rock the Coast,' said Joe Billhimer,
president of Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi.
'Hard Rock is one of the most globally recognizable brands and we're proud to bring it to Biloxi.'

The $235 million complex will include an 11-story, 306-room hotel with a top floor night club and resort style pool and spa, Hard Rock Caf?nd Hard Rock Casino with 48,500 square feet of gaming space, a 450-seat buffet, 200-seat steak house and grill and bakery.

Ground broken at Hard Rock casino site - 2004-02-11
Ground was broken Tuesday at the site of the first casino to be built on the Gulf Coast since 1999.

The $235 million Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi is anticipated to open in summer 2005. The site is just east of Beau Rivage, where the old Gold Shore Casino was located.

Plans call for 48,500 square feet of gaming space and a 306-room hotel. A Hard Rock Live club is planned next to the hotel.
