Woman hits $10.2 million Megabucks jackpot in Vegas - 2004-02-14
A woman is about $10 million richer after she hit a Nevada Megabucks jackpot in what she says is a dream come true.

The 49-year-old woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said she and her husband were making their tenth annual visit to the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

She said she dreamed two weeks ago that she won a lot of money. After a $20 investment on Friday, she was $10.2 million to the good.

5 New Casinos Could Come To Iowa - 2004-02-14
Lawmakers revealed significant changes for the future of gambling in Iowa Thursday.

In a new bill, the Legislature approved up to five new casino licenses, bringing the total number of racetracks and casinos to 18.

However, there will be no new licenses issued in a county of an existing license holder, which would eliminate the city of Des Moines' hopes for a casino because Prairie Meadows is located in Altoona. Also, new licenses will not be issued for a facility that plans to build within 50 miles of an existing license holder's facility.
