Casino Aztar Riverboat Business Up - 2004-02-14
Business at the Casino Aztar riverboat at Evansville was up a minimum of 8 percent last year, parent company Aztar Corp.

Casino Aztar brought in $126 million in revenue, up from $116.3 million in 2002. Operating income soared 25 percent to $30.2 million, an operating-profit margin of 24 percent.

Hotel occupancy was 84.8 percent, up from 83.4 percent the previous year, though average daily revenue slipped more than $2 to $63.45.

Lemay leaders fear loss of features in casino plan - 2004-02-14
Leaders in Lemay expressed concerns Friday that St. Louis County is going to make too many changes to the plans for a casino there.

They fear that, as a result, Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. will not build some of the features it has promised, such as a swimming pool and water park, a skating rink and athletic fields.

The $300 million casino plan includes a shopping mall, movie theater, bowling alley and new restaurants, the kind of destinations Lemay has been craving.
