Casino Legends Hall of Fame Celebrates 5th Anniversary - 2004-02-17
Feb. 4 marked the five-year anniversary of one of the most popular attractions on the Las Vegas Strip
- and one of our longtime favorites in the Vegas4Visitors Top 10 Attractions Awards - the Casino Legends Hall of Fame museum inside the Tropicana. The museum offers what it calls "the largest and most unique collection of Nevada gaming memorabilia ever assembled," celebrating the myths and the legends of Las Vegas.

The collection traces the evolution of Nevada gaming from its legalized inception in 1931 through the present day. It's a substantial and fascinating collection of gaming memorabilia from long gone and current hotels, photographs, videos, displays, and minitributes to the people and professions that helped shape Las Vegas.

Nevada Economy: Casino Companies Still Top Tax List - 2004-02-17
The tax man cometh, but his bite is a not the same for all.

The current taxable value of Clark County's top casino companies actually decreased slightly from last year, an annual list released by the Clark County assessor's office showed.

The major taxpayers also shifted position with MGM Mirage retaining its No. 1 spot on the taxable value list for Southern Nevada business, despite dropping $300 million in value, but Mandalay Resort Group moved into the No. 2 spot, pushing Caesars Entertainment to No. 3.
