Threats Alleged In D'Iberville Casino Fight - 2004-02-19
The serene back bay waters didn't reflect the mood around the Royal D'Iberville development.

"Yes it's nasty," Gulf Islands Conservancy attorney Reilly Morse said. "And it didn't have to be that way."

Morse says members of that environmental group have been under attack because they oppose a casino just west of I-110. On Tuesday, he confronted D'Iberville Mayor Rusty Quave.

January casino revenues up - 2004-02-19
Coast casinos earned $109.9 million in January, thanks to the beginning of snowbird season.

The January revenues for the Coast's 12 casinos represents a 6.4 percent increase over the winnings in January 2003. Some casino general managers speculated January's figures may include some revenue that actually came in during December but was not accounted for, because of the holidays and quirks in reporting.
