Seminoles to hire 3,000 - 2004-02-19
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is having a job fair Feb. 26-28 as it prepares for its April opening.

Recruiters said they are seeking experienced hospitality and casino personnel to open the $200 million casino and hotel complex.

Job fair hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Feb. 26; from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Feb. 27; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 28, all at 3101 N. State Road 7 in Hollywood.

Welch To Reallocate Gaming Revenues - 2004-02-19
Country Club Hills Mayor Dwight Welch said he isn't bothered by neighboring Hazel Crest's withdrawal of support for a riverboat casino in the city. "We're still rolling forward," Welch said. "They're just not part of the ball." He said that the money will just be
reallocated to communities that support the plan.

After deciding during a Feb. 3 administrative meeting to endorse the casino project and sending Welch a letter of intent, the Hazel Crest board - swayed by residents' concerns - reneged on its support last week.
