Agilysys to acquire Atlanta software firm - 2004-02-02
Agilysys Inc. plans to buy Atlanta-based casino and resort hotel software provider Inter-American Data Inc. (IAD). Terms were not revealed.

"[The acquisition] establishes Agilysys as a leading software, developer and service provider to the hospitality industry, particularly the, gaming sector, which is an area of the economy that has experienced positive growth in recent years," said Arthur Rhein, chairman, president and CEO of Agilysys.

Gaming, tobacco, developers fill party coffers - 2004-02-02
Former Crown Casino boss Lloyd Williams donated approximately $50,000 to the Victorian branch of the Labor Party last financial year.

Mr Williams, a close associate of former Liberal premier Jeff Kennett and former Liberal Party federal treasurer Ron Walker, was the Victorian ALP's largest single donor.

The Australian Electoral Commission's register of political donations for 2002-03, reveals Mr Williams donated $51,500 to the Victorian ALP but only $2500 to the Victorian branch of the Liberal Party.
