Borgata's Poker Revenue Was 24 Percent More Than Its Fair Share - 2004-02-20
Borgata is on a fast track to becoming Atlantic City's most lucrative casino and is already planning for a 500,000-square-foot expansion.

"Things just keep getting better there," Ellis Landau, Boyd Gaming chief financial officer, said at a conference call to discuss fourth-quarter earnings.

Borgata produced cash flow of $33.9 million on net revenue of $142 million in its second quarter of operation. Its cash flow was $400,000 behind market leader Harrah's and its revenue was $9 million behind leader Bally's.

Mansfield Town boss Keith Curle spoke out in court in defense of his pregnant girlfriend, who is charged with breaking his ex-lover's leg in a casino.

Mr Curle's partner Germaine Smith has pleaded not guilty to grievous bodily harm after his ex girlfriend ended up with a broken shin bone after a 'catfight'.

The 40-year-old Stags manager told Sheffield Crown Court yesterday his relationship with 21-year-old Dee Dunseath was purely physical - and when they broke up she plagued him with late-night phone calls.
