Casino Proposals Range From Caribbean Theme To Water Park - 2004-02-20
Seven companies wanting to purchase the state's 10th casino license have handed in proposals that range from building a Caribbean-themed casino in Rosemont to a casino in Country Club Hills that would include a spa, bowling alley and water park, the Illinois Gaming Board.

The board also said casino developer Steve Wynn and Wynn Resorts Limited withdrew on Feb. 17 from the bid it submitted with partner Midwest Gaming and Entertainment LLC to develop a casino in Des Plaines, the board said. The site will now be developed and operated by Midwest, which is owned by real estate developer Neil Bluhm, the board said.
