in the woods of southeastern Connecticut. And they
are only a one day drive from Washington. So how do these two gambling behemoths stack up against each other? We asked special contributor Marshall S. Berdan to check out the Nutmeg State's big daily double.

SIZE: On Feb. 15, 1992, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation opened up a high-stakes bingo hall. Twelve years later, Foxwoods Resort and Casino is the world's biggest casino complex, boasting over 320,000 square feet of gambling space, including at least 350 table games and 6,400, plus slot machines

Celebs turn out for Las Vegas nightclub celebration - 2004-02-22
Tennis star Anna Kournikova turned heads Saturday night when she walked the red carpet with actor Mickey Rourke to celebrate Light nightclub's second anniversary at the Bellagio resort.

Publicists swore the two were just friends, and Kournikova was in town to see her boyfriend Enrique Iglesias, who's playing at the Hard Rock hotel-casino this week.

The two weren't the only stars to make the swelling crowds inside the casino let out screams of adoration.
