Horizon Hospice benefit March 6 - 2004-02-22
Horizon Hospice's yearly benefit dinner scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. March 6 at the Red Lion Inn & Casino is hosting a comedian and the theme is "The FUNdamentals of Life."

"The advisory board members decided we would have fun this year, so we are bringing in the comedian," said the hospice coordinator, Kelly Ostler.

The comedian is Ronald Culberson, a humorist and certified speaking professional.

"I saw him in 1998. He was great fun," Ostler said.

Star Cruises sinks into red as write-off, Sars take toll - 2004-02-22
Hong Kong and Singapore-listed Star Cruises, the world's third biggest cruise line, fell into the red last year, pulled down by a write-off on its Asia-Pacific operations and one-off expenses.

The company, a unit of Malaysian casino operator Genting, reported a net loss of US$124.5 million (HK$971.1 million) for the year to December 31 - a sharp reversal from the US$50.9 million net profit posted a year earlier.

The cruise operator attributed its 2003 performance to a combination of lower cruise ticket prices and overall occupancy level.
