Jackpot! U.S. defeats Soo Kewadin Casino Indians, 3-0 - 2004-02-22
Jeff Frazee, playing his first game for the Under-18 team, recorded a win and shut out as the U-18 squad beat the Soo Kewadin Casino Indians, 3-0. Frazee stopped 30 shots en route to his 21st overall win for the US National Team Development Programs.

The US team got the only goal it would need as forward Bryan Lerg (Livonia, MI) powered a one-time shot past the previously unbeaten Soo Indians goaltender Derek McIntyre (24-1-2) on a US power play in the second period. A pair of Minnesota natives lent a helping hand on the Lerg goal as Jack Johnson (Fairbault) and Nate Hagemo (Edina) recorded assists on the play.

Sen. Curt Bromm of Wahoo announced on the floor that hearings, usually held every day after lunch, would conclude soon, allowing for full-day debates to begin March 2. Today marks the halfway point through the Legislature's 60-day session.
