Mountain Resorts Lose Casino Gamble - 2004-02-24
A number of players put their bets on a roulette table in Crans Montana's casino. A few others try their luck at blackjack, and only a handful of the 120 slot machines are being used. But managing director Timothy Cullimore is not concerned.

Cullimore says, the casino counts up to 1,000 visitors a night and even in the low season at least 150 people pass through its doors. They are mostly locals who have made the short trip to Crans Montana from nearby towns in the valley below.

TRIBAL STAFF: GT Band appoints casino executive - 2004-02-24
The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians named Ron Olson, an American Indian, to manage its casino operations.

Olson, general manager for Victories Casino and Hotel in Petoskey since 2000, will be the chief executive officer of Traverse Bay Entertainment, the tribe said Monday.

Olson eventually may look at creating a casino at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, said Chris Bussey, assistant executive director.
