Vegas Casino Owners' Group Seeks Newly Defunct Property - 2004-02-26
The chances of the Castaways reopening as a hotel-casino enhanced markedly Tuesday after three local casino operators signed a letter of agreement granting them an option to purchase the property.

Randy Miller, Rich Gonzales and Rich Iannone, proprietors of the Longhorn casino on Boulder Highway and the Bighorn casino in North Las Vegas, have an exclusive choice through March 15 to acquire the 49-year-old historic property at 2800 Fremont St. withing close proximity Boulder Highway.

Bishop makes guilty plea to groping in casino incident - 2004-02-26
Bishop Demetri Khoury doesn't recall getting inebriated at Turtle Creek Casino last July and groping a woman's breast.
Khoury, who manages the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese in eight states and Ontario, claimed he only realized his crime after he saw it on video.
"Based on what I saw on the tape, I plead guilty," Khoury explained to Circuit Court Judge Philip Rodgers, referring to a surveillance video recorded at the casino July 9.
