Casino bid could receive one final roll - 2004-02-27
After denouncing a recent Illinois Gaming Board ruling to omit two south suburban Chicago casino contenders from the last round for the state's 10th casino license, some legislators are drafting law to both renew the five-member board and establish an 11th casino license.

Halvorson stated legislation also was being created for an 11th casino license that would be granted to a bidder with plans to build in the south suburbs.

Chukchansi Gold provides Best Casino Dining Granted Valley Award - 2004-02-27
Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino has been deemed Best Card Club/Casino Dining in the San Joaquin Valley. The award was handed out by the Fresno Chapter of the California Restaurant Association at this year's Best of the Valley Awards affair on Monday, Feb. 23.

Doug Shipley, president of Cascade Entertainment Group, expressed the honor is particularly welcomed for a casino that is so young.
