Vegas softens drought restrictions; plans to draw more water to region - 2004-02-27
Water officials are softening some drought limitations, claiming that conservation measures last year cut water use in the Las Vegas region more than intended.

Resorts like the Bellagio hotel-casino, which includes a prominent “Dancing Waters” attraction on the Las Vegas Strip, remain excluded from drought restrictions, because they are seen as essential to the region's tourism-based economy.

Casino leaders' health leads to hearing postponements - 2004-02-27
Sands plans for Macau are in operation, but there is still one niggling element for proprietor, Sheldon Adelson. Ensnared in a lawsuit with the one-time president of one of Adelson's multiple companies, the entire ordeal has become so drawn out, that Adelson was practically unable to take the stand.

The lawsuit focuses on Adelson's Macau casino. Moshe Hananel, the one-time president of Adelson's Interface Partners International in Israel, claims that his contacts and assistance were the key element in the inevitable gaming concession given to the Sand's Venetian Macau group.
