Kent officials considering their choices over Schaghticoke recognition - 2004-02-27
Top Kent officials plan to convene next Tuesday with their attorney, Jeff Sienkiewicz, to deliberate on the town’s choices regarding the recent Schaghticoke Tribal Nation recognition.

Once they have that data, they will convene with and seek public input from locals.
Schaghticoke Chief Richard Velky has stated the tribe wants to construct a casino in western Connecticut.

Casino gambling law brought in both chambers - 2004-02-27
Legislation to bring casino gambling to Kentucky was brought in on Friday in both chambers of the General Assembly. Two ranking policymakers immediately voiced doubts regarding its odds.

The law envisions nine casinos — five owned by the state's horse tracks and four independent casinos elsewhere in the state.
