SECC prepared to gamble on Sun City project - 2004-02-28
The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre is in deliberations to construct a world-class casino on the Clyde as part of its £350m masterplan to work on surrounding property.

South African-owned Kerzner International – which is in advanced discussions to establish a £300m casino on the site of the Millennium Dome in London – has visited the SECC site throughout the past few months, as has Sun International, best known for its palatial Sun City resort in South Africa.

$1 nets $4.5 million on slots - 2004-02-28
An Ontario man won the province's second-largest slot machine jackpot early Saturday, after taking a break from playing cards.

The man dropped some coins in the one-dollar MegaBucks game and ended up with $4,547,153.25 – the biggest jackpot ever given away at Casino Windsor.
Saturday's winner is from Windsor, the casino said in a statement. No name was released, at the man's request. The casino does not post the odds of winning on its Web site.
