Argosy income drops - 2004-02-05
Argosy Gaming, which operates a riverboat casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind., reported a 17 percent decline Wednesday in fourth-quarter earnings.
Net income was $13.6 million, or 46 cents per share, compared with $16.5 million, or 56 cents per share, during the year-ago quarter.
Despite a 3 percent increase in revenue, to $231.9 million, the Alton, Ill.-based company said results were affected adversely by increased gaming and admissions taxes in Illinois.
