Indian Tribe Donates $4M to UCLA Law Department - 2004-03-10
Flush with casino riches, an Indian tribe donated $4 million Wednesday to the law school at the University of California, Los Angeles, to endorse American Indian studies.

The San Manuel tribe runs a casino on a reservation close to Highland, north of San Bernardino. Last year, the tribe offered $3 million to California State University, San Bernardino.

Alleged swindle gets bail - 2004-03-10
Bedford investment consultant Koji Goto was jailed yesterday after a judge increased his bail to $1 million to hold him in a suspected $15 million investment swindle.

Acquaintances say Goto was fond of gambling and often visited Foxwoods in a limousine supplied by the casino. He purportedly had a collection of expensive cars and gave the illusion he was rolling in dough.
