A House leader who was pushing legislation to permit casinos in Kentucky stated Wednesday the bill would not move ahead this year.
The trade wanted the change to establish a 25-mile competition-free radius around every casino, and to say how many casinos would be permitted in Kentucky, Sexton stated. They also did not agree on a provision that would have permitted local option referendums in regions where casinos would have been built, he stated.
