Anti-casino activists file a third lawsuit - 2004-03-10
Foes of the Three Rivers Casino venture filed their third lawsuit to stop it Tuesday - this one naming the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians as a defendant.

The tribes' contentious casino is under construction on the North Fork of the Siuslaw River within close proximity to Florence.

Man could see additional charges in Binion theft - 2004-03-10
Prosecutors say they have data that could further indict a man charged with digging up Ted Binion's silver fortune two days following the casino executive's 1998 slaying.

But Lalli stated prosecutors have new data that could indicate otherwise. He would not comment on which sort of charges could possibly result from the investigation or what is alleged in the declaration.
