Hard Rock Cafe International's method to extend its brand to hotels took another jump Thursday with the debut of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa.
With Hard Rock's well-honed marketing flash the $100 million tribal-owned hotel and casino formally opened its doors.

Hard Rock licensed its brand to the Seminole Tribe of Florida for the 250-room Tampa hotel and a 500-room hotel and casino that debuts in May in Hollywood in South Florida.

Vegas Hotels Offer Room Rate Agreements - 2004-03-15
Las Vegas casino companies are pledging to beat any room rate that customers can locate on the Internet -- if they book rooms on casino Web sites.
Caesars Entertainment, Mandalay Bay and the San Remo are among the businesses expecting to encourage customer loyalty by providing meet-and-beat programs. Analysts claim the offers are standard in other places, but are just taking hold in Las Vegas.
