2005 could be the time table games come to W.Va. - 2004-03-18
West Virginia's biggest high-profile gambling executive is betting that 2005 will be the year legislators pass a measure clearing the path for table games at the state's four racetrack casinos.

Lottery officials have cautioned legislators that racetrack slot revenues could drop by $160 million in two years if surrounding states legalize the machines, and auditors are already foreseeing a $175 million state budget deficit for fiscal 2006.
Pennsylvania, Maryland and Ohio are contemplating slot machine measures.
