Buffalo City Says No To Casino Venture - 2004-03-18
Meanwhile, the Seneca Nation has notified the state it will concentrate on a site in suburban Buffalo, not the city itself.
Members of the tribe are now only contemplating a site in Cheektowaga.

Some Buffalo region political and business officials are against situating a casino in the city.
Others claim a downtown casino will introduce much needed employment and visitors to the region.

Tribe Looks to Construct Casino Close To Speedway - 2004-03-18
The Oklahoma-based Delaware Tribe is the most recent to propose constructing a casino in Wyandotte County.

The tribe wants to establish a $225 million casino and resort in Bonner Springs beside the Kansas Speedway, which officials state would generate about 2,000 jobs in the city of 6,700. The city would garner 4.2 percent of the casino returns to start, rising to 6 percent after seven years.
