Illinois Governor Commands Full Casino Analysis - 2004-03-18
As pressure rose from Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan and others to push for the Illinois Gaming Board to explain its ruling to put a casino in Rosemont, Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Wednesday revealed that he will hire a special investigator to help scrutinize the agenda.
While the Gaming Board in approaching weeks is expected to present an extensive examination of Biloxi, Miss.-based Isle of Capri Casinos Inc., the governor wants to look ahead of the suitability of the firm and into the question of whether Rosemont is the right location for the state's 10th casino.
