Bonner Springs, Kan., Casino Pitched - 2004-03-18
The Oklahoma-based Delaware Tribe wants to construct a $225 million casino and hotel resort in the far northeast corner of Bonner Springs next to Kansas Speedway.

Representatives of that two-tribe bid are in negotiations with Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius for a formal state compact to run slot machines and other casino games like blackjack and roulette.

Virus Epidemic at Vegas Hotel Settling - 2004-03-18
The norovirus outbreak at the California Hotel appears to have subsided, but no "all clear" declaration from the Clark County Health District is on the horizon, county and business officials agreed Tuesday.

Rob Stillwell, spokesman for Boyd Gaming Corp., which controls the downtown Las Vegas hotel-casino, stated reports of the outbreak have adversely impacted reservations and occupancy, but not drastically.
