Las Vegas slot parlor shuts down - 2004-03-02
The Town Hall slot parlor on Koval Lane south of Flamingo Road shut down Monday due to financial problems.

Town Hall technicians today were on site taking apart slot machines while others were taking down the Budweiser signs and other bar decorations. Occasionally, people intending to play wandered through the casino, inquiring about why the slots were turned off.

Casino interests comes to Barstow - 2004-03-02
Representatives of two suggested casino resorts offered the details of their projects to the City Council Monday night and pushed for the city not to renew its exclusive bargains with another Indian tribe.

Attorney Les Marston noted that his tribe has an existing gaming compact for its casino in Havasu Lake and stated he thinks the Chemehuevis could get authorization for slots in Barstow within two weeks.
