Gambler Sues Vegas Casino for Banning Him - 2004-03-02
A Los Angeles lawyer who declares he was thrown out of Las Vegas last year, because he was too lucky has sued MGM Mirage in an effort to force the casino to caution prospective gamblers that they can be banned for winning too much.

Franseschi, who identifies himself in the lawsuit as a "better than average blackjack player," explained he was ejected from three other Vegas casinos on the same day within minutes of sitting down at the blackjack tables.

Mayor postpones smoking prohibition - 2004-03-02
Students looking forward to smoke-free bars in Madison may have to wait another year.
Before presiding over Tuesday's City Council meeting, Mayor Dave Cieslewicz asked Monday to postpone the proposed prohibition on smoking in city restaurants and bars from 2005 until 2006.

"If something like this is going to go through, it should go through like the casino referendum," Bush commented.
