Dodge City is pushing for a new casino - 2004-03-03
When the frontier was still open, gambling assisted in drawing cowboys and other visitors here.
Gambling advocates stated a casino could lure five times as many visitors per year to the city where Wyatt Earp Boulevard is the main street.

He calculated a casino would generate roughly $54 million a year in gross revenue, establish 300 full-time jobs and generate an annual payroll of over $7.8 million.

Cops claim suspects rejoiced with martinis - 2004-03-03
After taking $600 from an 89-year old woman's purse, two accused robbers walked a few blocks to a restaurant and rejoiced by drinking martinis, Spokane police Chief Roger Bragdon stated.

The couple, who have been married for 52 years, were heading to Northern Quest Casino.
The alleged robbers ‘‘formulated a plan immediately” as soon as they saw Ensminger with the purse, Miller reported.
