Villalta dies five days following collapse at bout - 2004-03-03
A Peruvian boxer passed away Wednesday, four days following a collapse after a title bout, a spokesman for the fight's promoter stated. Luis Villalta, 35, lost consciousness in his dressing room minutes after losing the 12-round fight to Ricky Quiles on Saturday night.

Villalta fought in the lightweight division and inevitably won an area title last July. He lost to Quiles at the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek in a ruling.
