"Chinese tourists, including some Party and government officials, are squandering hundreds of millions of yuan each year at a North Korean five-star hotel and casino" reports the China Daily.

"Every day, more than 100 Chinese travel across the Tumen River to the neighbouring Rajin-Sonbong Free Trade Zone to gamble in the Hong Kong-built Emperor Hotel and Casino." the Beijing News said.

Bill calls for higher casino admission tax - 2005-01-05
Rep. Duane Cheney, D-Portage, states that a bill he is sponsoring would place a $2 per person admission tax on casinos to help provide affordable family health insurance to casino employees.

Money from the tax would provide extra funding for Medicaid and Hoosier Healthwise, two state-sponsored healthcare programs heavily relied upon by casino workers without insurance from their employer.
