It will cost an extra $2 to get into any Indiana casino if a bill introduced Wednesday in the state's General Assembly becomes law. The tax currently is $3.
The goal is to help provide affordable family health insurance to casino employees. Money from the higher tax would provide additional funding for Medicaid and Hoosier Healthwise, two state-sponsored healthcare programs heavily relied upon by casino workers.
