This includes over $805 million in debt. Penn's attraction to Argosy is the latter's stable of successful riverboat casino operations, which Penn has never really had.

Schumer takes wait and see attitude on Catskills casinos - 2005-02-09
One of the last steps before native American casinos can be built in the Catskills is federal approvals. And, US Senator Charles Schumer today said he will not decided how he will vote on the issue until local lawmakers take a stand.

"I haven't even seen support yet from the Sullivan County Legislature, which would be necessary as a first step to get my support," he said. Schumer told Governor George Pataki he will not support anything without getting local support. The Sullivan County Legislature is set to take up the casino issue at a meeting tomorrow.
