Indian casinos need to have a fortified supervision, since the industry is booming and the U.S. The Government should try to prevent the once dominating style of mafia corruption that besieged Las Vegas. Indian casinos have generated proceeds that surged from $200 million back in 1998 up to $18 billion found today. This begs for additional scrutiny. The chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs reported that during his long career he has learnt that wherever money and gambling are involved, there is going to be corruption as well.

The lack of a strong regulatory body as well as a loose oversight on tribal casinos may lead to a blasting scandal. The history of Las Vegas provides lots of evidence for concerns when looking at mafia-controlled casinos in the early days of its gambling deployment.

Lorain Officals To Wage Lobbying Effort For Casinos - 2005-03-08
A beaming Lorain Mayor Craig Foltin shook the hands of city officials and tribal leaders after the City Council voted last night to support an Indian casino on Lake Erie.

Foltin promised to wage an all-out lobbying effort to land the proposed $100 million casino development to be operated by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.
