On-line casino's shares in demand after IPO - 2005-06-28
Yesterday, the shares of on-line casino group Party Gaming PLC proved to be just as hot as the game of poker. The IPO proved to be the biggest London flotation in five years. The market value is close to £5-billion ($9.1-billion U.S.).

The oversubscription of shares puts PartyGaming's market value higher than many well known British companies including British Airways PLC and Imperial Chemical Industries PLC.

Tribe sues to gain Ohio land for casino use - 2005-06-28
The Eastern Shawnee tribe of Oklahoma sued Monday to get back approximately 150 square miles of Ohio that it says was illegally taken in 19th-Century treaties.

The attorney for the tribe said the objective is to negotiate a deal to open a casino. The tribe would seek title to the land and repayment of taxes and other revenue the state has collected on it since 1831.
